EPJ Web of Conferences Highlight - MESON 2023 – 17th International Workshop on Meson Physics

The 17^th International Workshop on Meson Physics-Meson 2023, took place in Kraków from 22^nd to 27^th June 2023.

The Meson conference series has a long standing tradition and is organised by the Institute of Physics of Jagiellonian University, GSI Helmholtz Centre for Heavy Ion Research, INFN-LNF Frascati and Institute of Nuclear Physics Polish Academy of Science, in Kraków. It brings together experimentalists and theorists involved in studies of meson production, interactions, internal structure and meson properties in strongly interacting matter.

Meson2023 included overviews of new experimental results and theoretical developments in the field of: spectroscopy of heavy flavour mesons, hyperons and light meson production and interactions in hadron and photon induced reactions and presentation of new emerging facilities. A particular highlight of this conference was a session devoted to role of strangeness in neutron star matter with the Laura Tolos (ICE, Barcelona) invited talk selected and sponsored by EPJA.
