Potassium dihydrogen phosphate, KH2PO4 (KDP) crystal is an order–disorder type ferroelectric crystal. Earlier model Hamiltonian used by Ganguli et al. is modified by adding other terms to investigate transverse limiting frequency, permittivity, and loss factor in potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) crystal. Green function formalism is used for derivation of formulae. Calculated results agree with experimental data reported by Kaminow and Harding for potassium dihydrogen phosphate KH2PO4 crystal. New terms play important role in explaining quantitatively the transverse limiting frequency, electrical permittivity, and loss factor in potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) crystal.
