This work constructs an improved coupled map lattices (ICML) based on the classical coupled map lattices. By introducing a random function based on Logistic map, the chaos performance of lattices is improved e.g., more output points, larger LEs. Then, a new encryption scheme is designed according to the pseudo-random numbers produced from ICML. In particular, the diffusion method is obtained on basis of the structure of ICML. The robustness test results reflects that the proposed cryptographic scheme has highly resistant to deciphering.
