Lead-free metal halide perovskites have gained significant attention due to their environmental friendliness and excellent optoelectronic properties. All-inorganic Cu-based perovskites has been recognized as a promising candidate due to lead-free, fewer defects and a large Stokes shift. However, the luminescent properties of Cu-based perovskites are not as advanced as those of lead-based perovskites. It is valuable to find new ways to obtain high quality copper-based perovskite. Herein, Cs3Cu2I5 film is prepared by one-step low pressure chemical vapor deposition method for the first time, and the effects of different growth pressures on Cs3Cu2I5 were studied. The obtained Cs3Cu2I5 film shows a bright deep-blue emission peaked at about 442 nm. A large Stokes shift of about 150 nm indicates that the photoluminescence behavior cannot belong to the direct band emission mechanism. Based on temperature-dependent photoluminescence spectra, it is concluded that the broadband blue emission originates from self-trapped excitons. Overall, this work presents a novel and efficient strategy for preparing high-quality copper-based perovskite films.
