High-energy ultrashort pulses can be widely applied in science and technology, and self-similar pulses (SSPs) can make pulses tend to have high-energy and ultrashort duration. Although SSPs have been widely studied in mode-locked fiber lasers (MLFLs), there are few researches on how to design the output characteristics of SSPs in the Mamyshev oscillators. Since Mamyshev oscillators can obtain higher pulse energy than that of MLFLs, in this paper, the effects of different cavity parameters, including fiber length, output coupling ratio, spectral filter bandwidth, spectral filter separation, small-signal gain, and gain fiber effective core area on the characteristics of the SSPs, have been systematically studied. Furthermore, by finely optimizing the parameters of the Mamyshev oscillators, a 141.0-nm broadband SSP and a 461.6-nJ high-energy SSP have both been obtained.
