Homogeneous and anisotropic Kantowski–Sachs model sourced by a stiff fluid and cosmological constant has been explored for different possible scenarios of the universe evolution using dynamical system analysis. The qualitative effects of the inclusion of stiff fluid in model has been investigated. The model yields isotropic universe having de Sitter, quintessence-like or stiff matter-like solutions. In the model, the expanding late-time accelerating universe evolution may be explained by the existence of isotropic, stable attractors. The model also yields synchronous bouncing evolution of the universe in the presence of stiff fluid. The physical viability and consequences of different scenarios such as isotropization, bounce and re-collapse have been discussed in detail.
