In this study, we present a theoretical simulation of the impact of applied external electric and magnetic fields on the nonlinear optical rectification (NOR), second harmonic generation (SHG), and third harmonic generation (THG) in typical asymmetric double triangular quantum wells. At first, we have calculated the wave functions and the subband energy levels for the lowest bounded four states confined within the structure by solving the Schrödinger equation using the diagonalization method within the framework of the effective mass and single parabolic band approximations. Then, the analytical expressions of the NOR, SHG, and THG are obtained using compact density matrix approach via iterative method. According to the numerical results, it is concluded that electric and magnetic fields play a vital and important role in the electronic and optical properties of the system and they can be used to adjust the intersubband transitions and change the associated optical sensitivities.
