In this study, we investigate the propagation of discrete breathers under the influence of intra-dimer coupling coefficients. We establish propagation zones of the modulated waves and the modulation instability growth rate is also concerned. To point out the strength of the coupling coefficient of the intra-dimers where negative and positive charges are involved, we numerically show through 2D and 3D the formation of breathers. It is shown for certain values of the intra-dimers coupling coefficient highly breathing in the system which is related to energy transfer between the two sides where cellular division happens. These results have pointed out new behavior of the discrete breathers in microtubules and we assume it will be used in the control of contraction in microtubules.
