To improve the security and anti-cracking ability of existing video encryption algorithms, this paper proposes a meteorological video encryption strategy based on a novel spatiotemporal chaotic system and dynamic planar displacement algorithm. The strategy begins by designing a new Sine Cosine Coupled Mapping Lattice (SCCML) based on the Coupled Mapping Lattice. By introducing the complex coupled mapping mode, SCCML has better chaotic characteristics. Secondly, the strategy designs a dynamic planar displacement algorithm based on SCCML, so that each video frame has an independent division method. In the scrambling phase, this paper proposes a hybrid synchronization-based spiral-zigzag pixel arrangement algorithm. The algorithm locally scrambles different planes in a video frame so that the same video frame has multiple encryption architectures. Finally, the strategy uses hash index chain and inverse chain to perform diffusion operation on the pixel. The experimental results show that the video encryption strategy based on SCCML has significant advantages in security performance. It is especially suitable for the encryption of large-size videos, such as meteorological videos, satellite videos, etc.
