Importance of the phases in optics is overwhelming and is useful in realizing various classical and nonclassical optical phenomena. The measured phase operators coined by Pegg–Barnett (PB) in a truncated Hilbert space is widely accepted. By using the prescription of Carruthers and Nieto, the analytical closed form expressions for the phase fluctuation parameters of a coherent radiation field coupled to a harmonically driven quartic anharmonic oscillator are obtained under PB formalism. In order to realize the complicated closed form analytical expressions, we give few symbolic calculations. It is found that the phase fluctuation parameters are quite sensitive on the initial phase of the coherent radiation field. Before and after interaction, the phase fluctuation parameters are plotted against the initial photon number, dimensionless interaction time and the driven parameters. In particular, the effects of the driven parameters are exhibited.
