In this paper, we have reported the spectra of selected charged particles: ,
and (
)
in pp and Pb–Pb collisions at
= 2.76 TeV in the mid-rapidity interval |y| < 0.5 and transverse momentum range 0 <
< 20 GeV/c for Monte Carlo simulation models EPOS-LHC, EPOS-1.99 and QGSJET-II-04. The nuclear modification factors
for different species of particles (
,
and (
)
) are plotted as a function of transverse momentum to understand particle production and energy loss mechanism. Heavy-to-lighter hadron ratios, i.e., proton-to-pion
(p/π) and kaon-to-pion
(K/π), are also plotted for pp and Pb–Pb collisions at
= 2.76 TeV to understand enhancement of heavy hadrons over the lighter hadrons. In order to test the validity of these simulation codes a comparison is done with the ALICE experimental data at
= 2.76 TeV for pp and most central Pb–Pb collisions.
