This comment deals with “On the conservation laws and invariant analysis for time-fractional coupled Fitzhugh–Nagumo equations using Lie symmetry analysis” by Sahoo and Ray (Eur Phys J Plus 134:83, 2019). The authors used incomplete prolongation formulas and inaccurate symmetry determining equations. Thus, obtained symmetries, reductions and conservations laws are also inaccurate. In this comment, the errors in the above paper are pointed out and corrected.
