We investigate the phase transitions of interacting cosmic fluids by assuming various scenarios such as DGP brane-world, dark energy models as well as linear parametrization of equation of state parameter. We consider the general interacting scenario between dark energy models and dust-like dark matter to evaluate the general interaction term in terms of redshift function. We check the phase transition in view of the second law of thermodynamics as well as keeping in mind the sign changes of heat capacities of interacting fluids. It is found that phase transition occurs at appropriate values of the redshift parameter and is consistent with the literature.
