This paper explores exact anisotropic static solutions for cylindrically symmetric perfect fluid distribution through the gravitational decoupling approach. The corresponding field equations as well as matching conditions are formulated. We construct two types of anisotropic solutions using the known solution for the isotropic cylindrical system and examine their physical parameters, energy conditions and stability. It is found that such characteristics are physically well-behaved only for the first model.
