Study of baryon resonance spectrum in a chiral quark model

We investigate the structure of light baryon resonances in the framework of constituent quark model in the non-relativistic limit. The full Hamiltonian used in the investigation has confining, one-gluon-exchange and chiral interaction terms. By considering this combination of potentials in the hypercentral approach we obtain the baryon resonance masses which are in a good agreement with the experimental measurements. The magnetic moments of light baryons are also calculated.
