We discuss the late-time dynamics of a chameleonic generalized Brans-Dicke cosmology with the power law chameleonic function f (φ) ∝ φ n , where n is a real parameter motivated from string theories by conjecturing that the four-dimensional Hubble parameter varies with a scale factor like φ = ξa m , where (ξ, m) are real parameters. For some critical values of m, n and the Brans-Dicke parameter, it was observed that the universe is free from the initial singularity. Both singularity-free and singular cosmological scenarios are discussed. Several cosmological tests like the physical cosmological distances and the statefinder parameters are discussed.
